Checklist for GlobalP3HS Applicants
You will need the following documents and information for the online application to GlobalP3HS.
Information
- Your personal details (Name, Place of birth, Nationality etc.)
- Your contact information
- Information on your education and your language skills
- Detailed information on your research experiences, in case you defended your first Master's degree more than 4 years ago (duration, percentage and type of research)
- A short statement about your general scientific interest
- A research proposal (Title, Background, Objective, Methods, Public health relevance, Gender perspective)
- Your research fields
- Contact details of at least one referee for the letter(s) of recommendation
Please note: an automated invitation to the referee(s) will be sent through the platform, once the contact details are inserted by you. The recommendation has to be submitted within the deadline. For details see our FAQ section "Applying to GlobalP3HS" - Your prime choice of Swiss universities
- Your prime choices as potential supervisor(s) (SSPH+ Faculty members only)
Documents
Please only submit the documents requested below. In case non-requested documents are uploaded, your application will not be considered for evaluation.
- Copy of Master’s Degree Diploma
- A certified translation of your Master’s Degree diploma
Please note that accepted languages are English, German, French, or Italian. The certified translation (confirmed with a stamp and signature) can be performed by either the institution that issued the original document or a sworn translator. that states (i) your motivation for joining the SSPH+ PhD Program GlobalP3HS and (ii) your motivation for conducting your proposed research - Copy of your valid passport or your valid official identity document/card (front and back, with picture)
- Any certificate/diploma (e.g. TOEFL or GRE) of your command in English (optional)
- Maximally 2 (two) letters of recommendation submitted by the referee(s) to whom an invitation has been sent (through the platform); for candidates applying under the sandwich model one letter of recommendation has to be submitted by the (potential) PhD co-supervisor from LMIC
